World Flavors of McDonald’s
Although I don’t plan on going to McDonald’s on my next trip to Europe, it’s encouraging to know that there are some fast food restaurants who embrace local flavors and offer original food items.
A Champagne By Any Other Name….
Champagne – an area in France located 90 miles northeast of Paris – is the only wine-producing area permitted to call their sparkling wines Champagne. During a recent Champagne tasting, sponsored by the Champagne Bureau, USA – I learned just how much I didn’t know about this amazine wine.
Floating Gardens of Sausalito
What’s amazing about Sausalito is its impressive display of container gardens. Rows upon rows of flowers, lemon and lime trees, and succulents lined each dock, giving the whole area a feeling reminiscent of the Mediterranean coast and making you forget the closest grass-filled yard is a few hundred yards away.
